Richard Lewis Lopata, age 69, of Necedah, Wisconsin died Friday, May 31, 2013 at Meriter Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.
Memorial services will be 12 Noon on Tuesday, June 11th, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Friendship, Wisconsin. Father James McNamee will officiate. Interment will take place at a later date at St. Leo’s Catholic Cemetery, Friendship, Wisconsin.
Richard was born December 1, 1943 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Francis and Gertrude (Rozek) Lopata. He lived in Milwaukee where he worked in several different careers before moving to Necedah in 1998. Richard owned two recycling businesses.
Richard was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved animals including his many dogs, cats, goats and ducks.

Great-Granddaughter: Diana Lister of Caledonia, Wisconsin
Great-Grandson: Raymond Lister of Caledonia, Wisconsin
Great-Grandson: Deshawn Lister of Caledonia, Wisconsin
Brother: Phil (Rita) Lopata of Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Sister: Carol (David) Balkowski of Ripon, Wisconsin
Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
I just found out about uncle Richie…I am so sorry. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers.
I am so sorry for the loss of your Dad. He sure was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor. My thoughts and prayers go out to Chris, Dave and Penny. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
