Robert "Bob" Norman Steiner

Robert "Bob" Norman Steiner, age 85, of Friendship, Wisconsin died Thursday, December 24, 2009 at the Villa Pines Living Center in Friendship, Wisconsin.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 Noon on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Friendship, Wisconsin. Father James P. McNamee will officiate. Interment will be at the Mauston Cemetery, Mauston, Wisconsin.

Friends may call at the church on Tuesday, December 29th from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass.

Bob was born June 30, 1924 in Mauston, Wisconsin to John Joseph and Minnie A. (Wagner) Steiner. He graduated from St. Patricks Elementary School in Mauston. Bob and his brother, John moved to Adams County in 1954 and owned and operated Steiners Lakeview Resort. He married Anne Rose Swetlik on December 2, 1971 in Adams, Wisconsin. They enjoyed many years of married life and many friends from the area.

Bob enjoyed playing cards, bingo, hunting, fishing, gardening and was an avid Wisconsin Badger and Green Bay Packer fan.

Bob was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree, Petenwell-Castle Rock Lake Property Owners Association, Outdoors Forever Organization.

Memorials may be directed to the St. Josephs Catholic Church.

Bob was preceded in death by parents, John and Minnie Steiner; wife, Anne Steiner; brother, John M. Steiner; nephew, John E. Steiner; and brother-in-law, Albert Zukauskis.
