Ruthie W. Ostrum

Ruthie W. Ostrum, age 73, of Monroe Center, Wisconsin, died Saturday, April 14, 2007, at the Villa Pines Living Center in Friendship, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Pastor Duane Schultz will officiate. Interment will be at the Monroe Center Cemetery, Town of Monroe, Adams County, Wisconsin.

Visitation will be at Roseberry’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 17, 2007, from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service.

Ruthie was born November 10, 1933, in Tomah, Wisconsin, to Charles and Jennie (Gray) Cole. She married Ralph E. Ostrum on January 26, 1952, in Adams, Wisconsin, and resided in the Town of Monroe since 1959.

Ruthie enjoyed her church, swimming, her Calorie Cut-up Club, baking, reading, music, and spending time with her grandchildren. Ruthie was the Teacher/Director of Arkdale Head Start for many years and enjoyed working with the children and their parents.

Ruthie was preceded in death by her parents, Jennie and Charles Cole; brothers, Robert (Nonie) Cole, Daniel (Laverne) Cole and Charles Cole, Jr.; and sister, Gloria (Duane) Martin.
