Shannon M. Hencsik, age 68, of Mauston, Wisconsin died Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at her home following a brief battle with cancer.
No formal services will be held per Shannons request.
Shannon was born December 16, 1941 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Harold A. and Merle L. (Knoff) Evans. She attended Greenfield High School. She married Stephen J. Hencsik on May 7, 1960 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The couple lived in Milwaukee and raised their family there. Shannon retired from News Broadcast Network and then moved to Mauston. Shannon and Stephen had recently celebrated their 50th anniversary.
Shannon enjoyed crafting, knitting, gardening, oil painting, reading, and baking.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
Shannon was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Merle Evans; Brother-in-law, Richard Taczala; and nephew, Corey Taczala.

Great-Grandchildren: 2 and 2 on the way

Sister: Judith (Richard) Taczala of Franklin, Wisconsin
Nephew: James Taczala of Franklin, Wisconsin
Niece: Sheila Chester of Caledonia, Wisconsin
Further survived by other relatives and many good friends.
