Steven Christopher Athens
Steven Christopher Athens, age 41, of Eldorado, Wisconsin died Sunday, May 7, 2017.
Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Rev. John K. Stake will officiate. Visitation will be 12 Noon until the time of service on Sunday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.
Stevie was born February 19, 1976 in Beloit, Wisconsin to Steven P. and Jill M. (Tinder) Athens. He attended South Beloit High School before graduating from Beloit Catholic High School in 1994. Steven was employed by the Oshkosh Truck Corporation/Oshkosh Defense where he proudly built vehicles that protect our troops overseas.
Stevie enjoyed time spent with his family and friends, ice fishing, camping, his yearly hunting trips to Augusta, and was an avid Chicago Bears fan much to the disbelief of his Wisconsin buddies. Stevie will be sorely missed by all.
Survivors include his son, Christian Athens of Berlin, WI; daughter, Madilyn Athens of Berlin, WI; son, Zachary Baker of South Beloit, IL; step-daughter, Samantha Frey of Platteville, WI; parents: Steven and Jill Athens of Arkdale, WI; brother, Kyle Athens of Beloit, WI; brother, Trevor Athens of Arkdale, WI; sister, Sarrah (Gregory) Johnson of Arkdale, WI; nephew, Dane Athens of Beloit, WI; nephew, Ashton Johnson of Arkdale, WI; nephew, Jacob Johnson of Arkdale, WI; niece, Gracie Johnson of Arkdale, WI; niece, Melody Johnson of Arkdale, WI; and niece, Abigail Johnson of Arkdale, WI. He was further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends. He was especially close to his, Uncle Dan Tinder, and Uncle James Tinder.
