Thomas “Tom” F. Turner
Funeral services will be at Noon Sunday, April 12, 2026, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Friendship. Pastor Brian Beardsley will officiate. Visitation will be at Noon on Sunday at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Interment will be at Good Shepherd Gardens, Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin on Monday April 13, 2026, at 10:30 AM.
Thomas was born April 4, 1938, in Antioch, Illinois to Wilbur and Alta Mae (Willett) Turner. He served in the U.S. Army from October 1961 through 1963 and the reserves until 1967. He retired as a mechanic from Anaconda-American Brass in 1999 and moved to Friendship, WI with his wife, Barbara. He married Barbara Ann Petrausky on October 26, 1967, in Kenosha, WI where they lived until retirement.
Thomas was a man of deep faith, he read his Bible every day and daily devotions. He enjoyed fishing and boating on Castle Rock Lake and hunting. He liked photography and birdwatching. He was highly skilled with home improvement and could fix just about anything. He built the house in Dellwood and when a tornado came through in 1984, he rebuilt it. Later they built a house in Timber Shores where they spent the rest of their retirement.
Thomas was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Friendship.
Thomas was preceded in death by his mother, Alta Mae Turner, and two brothers; Gail and Ronald Turner.
Survivors include his wife Barbara Ann, his step-son William John, and two daughters Deborah Ann Turner and Laura Mae Russo. He has two grandchildren; Alexandria Turner and Madison Russo and a great-granddaughter Azaria Turner.
