John 3:16 KJV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Walter Maynard married my first cousin Barbara Laverne Nelson. I visited them once while they lived in Illinois when on a business trip. Then they moved to Wisconsin and my wife and I attended Barbara’s funeral in the winter where we met some of my other cousins for the first time. Then during our motorhome travels we visited Maynard and Erik a couple of times at their farm in Friendship. We kept in contact mostly via social media. We just learned today, after a posting by Eric, of Maynard’s passing. He was obviously a well liked and involved person. He is probably looking down on us saying we better be good if we want to be with him. OORAH!
Thank you all for your kind words and wishes. There is no doubt that my Dad is with God and my Mom that he loved so much.
Our family will miss and love both of them for as long as we live.
Phil and I sure do miss your smiling face. It was a pleasure to help you with splitting that wood a few years back. Rest in Peace my friend, I am sure God welcomed you with open arms. And the Lord said Amen!
R.I.P Walter I’m so glad I meet you. I miss you so much and wish you were here. To your family I’m so sorry for your loss he was a great man. I miss stopping by and talking to you. God bless you!
Please accept our deepest condolences. Walter, thank you for being part of our lives. We will miss you! Will always remember your positive attitude & cheerful personality. It was fun riding with you collecting aluminum cans for charity. Will always remember your favorite fishing spots & the help during deer hunting season. We will never forget.
My deepest sympathies to all of Mr. Langley’s family. I know he was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. I enjoyed his cheerful greetings and hearing about the adventures he and Eric would have in their home, making blackberry jam, watching movies together, enjoying Eric’s photos, and riding to church on his Gator. The simple things in life become the most sacred. I know Mr. Langley considered himself blessed, and I feel blessed for having had the chance to know him through Eric. Thank you for your positive can-do spirit Mr. Langley. I enjoyed talking to you over the years, and I’m grateful for all the love you’ve brought into this world by just being you. Rest in peace good and faithful servant. May God bless you and yours- always.
Semper Fi Walter. I already miss you. Rest in peace with God.

You will be missed by everyone at Big Flats Community Church. Whenever the doors were open, you were there. Such a faithful servant of our Lord Jesus. It’s our earthly loss, but Heaven’s gain. And we know you are right where you wanted to be. So very happy you were sent into our lives. We are much richer for knowing a man of your integrity and Godly spirit. We will continue the mission can project you started as we chattered away in your garage countless hours taking tabs off for Ronald McDonald House in Marshfield.
You will be missed Walter. You were a good friend to everyone. We will miss your presence at church and your birthday (everyday 😃)
