Walter “Wally” Wilson Bray

Walter “Wally” Wilson Bray, age 78, of Adams, Wisconsin, passed away Friday, September 01, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family.

Memorial services will be 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Rev. John K. Stake will officiate. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life gathering will also be held at the Lake in the Hills Community Center on Saturday, September 9th, 2017, from 12 Noon to 2:00 p.m.

Wally was born April 9, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois, to Walter and Mary L. (Bell) Bray. He grew up Chicago, IL. Wally married Jean L. (Schroeder) Schofield, this marriage was blessed with 3 children before ending in divorce.

He married Dianne Lorine Reeger on November 10, 1979 in Woodstock, IL.

Wally loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and watching the wildlife from his deck. He was a handyman and a craftsman. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Wally was very involved in the Lake in the Hills Community. He was a baseball coach, a village trustee, a police officer, member of the POA, and other village organizations. He moved from Lake in the Hills to open a motel in Adams County. Wally always had a special love of Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in Wally’s memory to his family.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mary L. (Bell) Bray; and his only sister, Marilyn LeMaire.

Step-Son: Matthew (Joy) Ruckoldt of Elgin, Illinois
Grandchildren: Chelsea (Dan) McCormick, Lindsay (Donovan) LeMay, Laura (Sabin) McPherson, Sara Vande Hei, Kaylyn Haberland, Alex Bray, Zachary Bray, Daniel Ruckholdt, Jason (Sarah) Andre, Samantha Burgess, Zach Grammer, Adena Ruckoldt, C.J. Ruckoldt, Aiden Ruckoldt, Chase Ruckoldt, Amelia Rose Ruckoldt, Andrew Wiegand, Matthew Wiegand, and Abby Wiegand.
Great-Grandchildren: Lee, Brody, and Addison
Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, breakfast club friends, and many other wonderful friends.
