Wayne Gilbert Rode, age 71, of Adams, WI died Thursday, September 22, 2011 at the Our House Nursing Home in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.
A gathering of family and friends will be planned at later date. Interment will be at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, King, Wisconsin.
Wayne was born August 18, 1940 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Rode. He grew in Milwaukee, WI with his parents. Wayne served in the Army in Europe during the early 1960s. Upon his return to Wisconsin he married Linda Ball on May 9, 1970 in Milwaukee. They raised their three kids, Dianna, Tracy, and Tony in Milwaukee on Vienna Ave.
Wayne enjoyed hunting, taking the kids to the Pike lake, camping, throwing parties at the home for friends and family, riding motorcycles, and visiting family and friends in Milwaukee after moving to Adams.
Wayne was preceded in death by parents, Gilbert and Louise Rode; and two brothers, Frank and Dale.

Daughter: Dianna Rode of Clyman, Wisconsin
Daughter: Tracy (Steve) Froehlich of West Bend, Wisconsin
Grandchildren: Heather, Kevin, Jeffrey, Sabrina
Great-Grandchild: 10
Sister: Diane Bednarz of Friendship, Wisconsin
Further survived by other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Wayne kept me on my toes and visited my office daily to talk, he made me laugh, I truly miss him, he was a great guy!
Dianna, I am sorry for the loss of your Father. You are in my thoughts. May God comfort you and keep you at this time. I think he may be fishing with my Dad, his brother Frank right about now. : – )
