Wayne W. Strand

Wayne W. Strand of Mesa, AZ  formerly of Brown Deer WI was called to our heavenly Father’s nearer presence to be home with his late wife Marcia on the 26th of May 2014 in Mesa at the age of 77.  He is survived by sons Wayne Allan (Debra Lee) Strand, Randy (Sandy) Strand, Ricky (Christine) Strand, Dan (Pam) Quicker, and David (Kim) Quicker. He is further survived by one brother Jerry Strand and two sisters Diane (Tom) Marini and Carol (Rev Mike) Iannelli and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Wayne was also Grandpa to Darlayne, Devyne, Kira, Angela, Ryan, Jenny, DJ and JJ as well as great grandpa of six.   Wayne was preceded in death by parents, Ruth E. Strand, East Troy, WI and Theodore Strand, Adams, WI, as well as his brother Gordon Strand (Donna) of East Troy and one sister Janet (Robert) Blau of Mukwonago.  He also leaves behind a host of special neighbors and friends who looked after him in Mesa that allowed him to live out his life in Arizona, where he wanted to be.  Visitation will be held Thursday June 26 from 4pm till 7pm with a memorial service to follow at the Roseberry Funeral Home in Friendship, WI.  In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to the Thiensville-Mequon Lions Club (PO Box 131, Thiensville, WI  53092) earmarked for the Lions Camp, Rosholt, WI

    ‘ I had breakfest with him and we visited over the xmas holidays this past yr. We spoke on the phone at times, but not often
    enough. Sorry I cannot I cannot attend the service. I will miss him.

    Sorry we cannot make the funeral. Wendell has a doctor’s appointment and will not be able to drive. Our sympathies go out to you and your family. Wayne was a good man. Now he is with Marsha and they can be together.

    So sorry Wayne, we won’t make the funeral service but we give our sincere condolences. Sounds like you have a great family and you sure have a lot of friends that really care about you. Have a safe trip to see your Dad were he wanted to be.
