Wendy Joy (Smith) Anderson, age 56, of Adams died Monday, February 28th at home after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 11th for family and friends at the Adams Assembly of God Church of Adams, WI.
Wendy was born on March 19, 1954 to Darwin Merle and Dorothy Jane (Hill) Smith, Sr. in Elkhorn, WI. She worked for many years at restaurants in the area and was a co-owner of the Kids R People Too! Daycare.
Wendy was preceded in death by her parents, brothers William (Bill) Smith, Sr. and Bruce Smith, brother-in-law Carl Disrud, Sr., and nephew Dustin Williams.
Wendy is survived by her husband, Harold C. Anderson, daughter, Jennifer K. Hembrook and son, Jason C. Anderson (Jeanette Rykiel); grandchildren: Jesse James Hembrook, Travis Hembrook, Jennah (Hembrook) Hunker, Tami Liptak, Kayla Anderson, Devon Vinney , Dallas Vinney, and many honorary children/grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Darwin (Ann ) Smith, Jr. and sisters Sara (James) Murray, Carol (Luman) Eggleston, Jude Disrud, Kathryn Skala, Terry-Jo Smith, sister-in-law Maxine Smith and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and extended family.
A very special thank you to all the nurses with Hospice Touch, the Assembly of God Church and its congregation, and to her many close friends that have stayed by her side throughout her lifetime and her long illness.

Ma Anderson will definitely be missed by all. Her contagious laughter & smile. Not to mention all her yummy baked goods. I know she has found peace, finally. May the rest of you also find peace now that her battle is over and she is at home with her lord & savior.

Wendy will be sadly missed, she was a great friend and a wonderful boss when i worked for her.

I was sorry to hear of Wendy’s passing, she is now at peace and in a better place. When the Lord takes a loved one he leaves us a heartful of wonderful memories let them help you through this difficult time. My prayers and thoughts are with you all.

Wendy always seemed to be happy and enjoying whatever she was doing. I don’t recall a time when she didn’t smile and say "Hello" when I met her. To Harold and the rest of her family, my prayers go out to you.

I worked with Wendy at kids "r" people too and and Learning on Linden. She was a good teacher and will be greatly missed by many. RIP Wendy

I remember the old dyas in the Marsh when Wendy and I listened to albums on her back porch at the store in Grand Marsh. She and I had fun back in the day. I’m so sorry to hear of her passing and wish her family and friends all the best. She will be remembered with a smile.
