Wendy Joy Anderson

Wendy Joy (Smith) Anderson, age 56, of Adams died Monday, February 28th at home after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 11th for family and friends at the Adams Assembly of God Church of Adams, WI.

Wendy was born on March 19, 1954 to Darwin Merle and Dorothy Jane (Hill) Smith, Sr. in Elkhorn, WI. She worked for many years at restaurants in the area and was a co-owner of the Kids R People Too! Daycare.

Wendy was preceded in death by her parents, brothers William (Bill) Smith, Sr. and Bruce Smith, brother-in-law Carl Disrud, Sr., and nephew Dustin Williams.

Wendy is survived by her husband, Harold C. Anderson, daughter, Jennifer K. Hembrook and son, Jason C. Anderson (Jeanette Rykiel); grandchildren: Jesse James Hembrook, Travis Hembrook, Jennah (Hembrook) Hunker, Tami Liptak, Kayla Anderson, Devon Vinney , Dallas Vinney, and many honorary children/grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Darwin (Ann ) Smith, Jr. and sisters Sara (James) Murray, Carol (Luman) Eggleston, Jude Disrud, Kathryn Skala, Terry-Jo Smith, sister-in-law Maxine Smith and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and extended family.

A very special thank you to all the nurses with Hospice Touch, the Assembly of God Church and its congregation, and to her many close friends that have stayed by her side throughout her lifetime and her long illness.
