Wilbur S Kouba

Wilbur S. Kouba, age 90, of Friendship, Wisconsin died February 18, 2011 at the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at the South Burr Oak Methodist Church in Coloma, Wisconsin. Rev. Candy Lisiecki will officiate. Military Honors will be presented by the Adams County Honor Guard.

Wilbur was born June 8, 1920 in Adams County, Wisconsin to Vincent and Frieda (Marth) Kouba. He served in the United States Army and was a WWII Veteran. Wilbur married Edith Pixler on April 19, 1946 in Adams, Wisconsin. He worked at Nekoosa Port Edwards Paper Mill for many years as a relief supervisor.

Wilbur enjoyed working at the Mill, going to the Casino playing Bingo, fishing, spending time outdoors, going out to eat and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed telling hunting and fishing stories of his younger years.

He was a proud member of The American Legion Post #250 of Adams.

Wilbur lived a simple life being a great Father and provider for his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Kouba; parents, Vincent & Frieda Kouba; brother, Leonard Kouba and sisters: Mae Kouba and Helen Kouba.

Great-Grandson: Scott Kline of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin
Great-Grandson: Shawn Lloyd of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin
Granddaughter: Sunshine Kouba of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin
Great-Granddaughter: Kaitlyn Kouba
Granddaughter: Joy Kraft
Great-Grandson: Zeke Kraft
Brother: Lester Kouba of Nekoosa, Wisconsin
Further survived by nieces and nephews
