LaVerne Frances Allen
LaVerne was born November 12, 1927, the daughter of Frank J. and Alma (Bublitz) Kuhnke. On July 28, 1945 she married Frederick William Allen in Arkdale Trinity Lutheran Church. They had two children a daughter, Joyce and son, James.
In her early years, she was a member of the Arkdale Trinity Lutheran Church, later she joined the First English Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids.
Survivors include her daughter, Joyce (Roger) Cook of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin; son, James (Corinne) Allen of Nekoosa, Wisconsin; 9 grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
LaVerne was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Alma Kuhnke; husband, Frederick William Allen; four sisters, two brothers, and granddaughter, Rhonda Cook.
Her life was a blessing, her memories a treasure, her love beyond words, and she will be missed beyond measure.
Her wishes are for a private service for her immediate family. Interment will be at Restlawn Memorial Park in Wisconsin Rapids.

The staff at First English Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids was saddened to hear of the passing of our beloved friend, LaVerne. She was a wonderful, thoughtful, and genuine person. She could brighten the day like few others. Her stories, her smiles, her friendship…her cookies. Truly a special lady. Your family will be in our prayers.
