LaVerne Frances Allen

LaVerne Frances Allen, age 90, formerly of Arkdale passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at home. In her later years she lived in Nekoosa and Wisconsin Rapids area.

LaVerne was born November 12, 1927, the daughter of Frank J. and Alma (Bublitz) Kuhnke. On July 28, 1945 she married Frederick William Allen in Arkdale Trinity Lutheran Church. They had two children a daughter, Joyce and son, James.

In her early years, she was a member of the Arkdale Trinity Lutheran Church, later she joined the First English Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids.

Survivors include her daughter, Joyce (Roger) Cook of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin; son, James (Corinne) Allen of Nekoosa, Wisconsin; 9 grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

LaVerne was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Alma Kuhnke; husband, Frederick William Allen; four sisters, two brothers, and granddaughter, Rhonda Cook.

Her life was a blessing, her memories a treasure, her love beyond words, and she will be missed beyond measure.

Her wishes are for a private service for her immediate family. Interment will be at Restlawn Memorial Park in Wisconsin Rapids.
