Alex Matthew Arista, age 38, of Adams, WI passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022.

A celebration of life will be from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at the Friendship Village Hall.

Alex was born April 28, 1984, in Belvidere, Illinois. He attended school in Westfield and then attended Adams-Friendship High School where he graduated in 2003.
Alex was a hardworking man and loved being a self-employed contractor. He loved John Deere collectibles, woodworking, helping others, cooking on the grill, fishing, hunting, camping, spending time with his niece & nephew, yard lawn services, visiting with people about what he was accomplishing & making, Chicago Bears football, Chicago Bulls Basketball, and driving around on his John Deere lawn mower.

Alex was preceded in death by his father: Margarito Arista; special dad: Ismael Olvera; grandparents: Eugene & Eleanor Gerloff, James Lutz, and other extended family members.

Survivors include his mother: Gena Gerloff; sisters: Andrea (Tim) Hurns & Corinna Branstad; brother: Trebor Branstad; grandma: Lillie Lutz; extended sister: Tammy (Paul) Dodson; nieces & nephews: Justice, James, Kristion, Timmy, Jasmine (Mike) & James (Brittany), and his special friend: Stephanie Koski. He is further survived by many other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

    I worked with Alex at MSTC. He was a student in one of my communications classes, and worked hard. He always was polite and friendly. So sorry for your loss. He had great potential and had great plans for running his own businesss. I am so sorry for your loss. Lean on the Lord during this time.
