Betty Ann Alley

Betty Ann Alley, age 80, of Baraboo, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Villa Pines Living Center in Friendship, Wisconsin.

A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.

Betty was born on June 21, 1945, in Madison, Wisconsin, to Donald and Elsie (Bolton) Bethke. She married Ron Alley on May 15, 1965, in Baraboo. The two met while Betty was working as a nurse’s aide at St. Clare Hospital. Together, they built a life centered on family and raised three children: Linda, Theresa, and Jeffrey.

Betty found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed listening to Slim Whitman’s music, watching birds, and, most of all, spending time visiting with her family. She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church and the Slim Whitman Appreciation Society.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her parents; her brother, Thomas; her husband, Ronald; her daughter, Linda; and her sisters-in-law, Nancy Bethke and Linda Bethke.

Betty is survived by her brothers, Bob (Emily), Jim, and Jerry; her sisters, Peggy (Ted) and Mary (Ron); her son-in-law, David Richardson; her daughter, Theresa (Dustin); and her son, Jeffrey. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Michael (Bailey), Brandon (Paige), Miranda, Benjamin, Katie, Justin, and Sierra; her great-grandchildren, Mabel, Madelyn, Mylo, and Vesper; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Villa Pines Living Center in Friendship for the compassionate care provided to Betty.
