Betty Griffin

Betty G Griffin, age 83, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2020, at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie, Wisconsin.

Betty was born on April 8, 1937 in Chicago, IL. She married her teenage sweetheart, Bob, on New Year’s Eve in 1955. Betty and Bob moved their young family to Wisconsin Dells in 1964. Betty had many passions including flower and vegetable gardening, from begonias to zinnias and asparagus to tomatoes. She was also a prolific reader, reveling in mystery novels and American history. In her early years, Betty raised and showed Shelties and she also cherished her German Shepherds and Siamese cats. Betty loved to fill her free time with arts and crafts projects including ceramics and painting. In their early years, Betty and Bob enjoyed square dancing and listening to country music. They both were, of course, ardent Packers fans!

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Griffin in March of this year, and her parents, John and Dagmar Jensen. She is survived by her daughters Ellen Henke, Christina Weber, Laura Jaggi (Rob), his sons Timothy Griffin (Sue), Karl Griffin (Donna) and Michael Griffin (Traci), seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Our family would like to thank the staff at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie for their compassionate care over the last 1 ½ years. Online condolences may be made at Roseberry’s Funeral Home at www.roseberrys.com. A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at 620 S 76th Street #160, Milwaukee, WI 53214 or www.alz.org.

Thank you for the love and support from family and friends during this time. Our mom will truly be missed!
