Betty Louise Torstenson, age 76, of Adams, Wisconsin passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at her home in Adams, Wisconsin.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin.   Rev. John K. Stake will officiate.  Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. on Sunday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.

Betty was born January 7, 1941 in El Paso, Texas to Dorothy Jean (Henry) Cordes.   She married Robert Charles Torstenson on June 26, 1955 in Las Cruces, New Mexico.  The couple lived in Sturgeon Bay, Round Lake, Salem, before moving to Adams in 1982.  Betty worked at a machine shop, International Harvester, and owned and operated the Beaver’s Trailer Park in Adams.

Betty enjoyed ceramics, jigsaw puzzles, reading, knitting, crocheting, donating to her favorite bingo hall, was a bit of a snowbird and enjoyed traveling to Florida and walking on the beach and spending time with her grandchildren, enjoyed going to movies and sharing the biggest bucket of popcorn she could get with her friends and family.

Betty was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy; and her children, Bobbie Torstenson and Mary Freiner.

Daughter:  Diane (Augustine) Sanchez of Adams, Wisconsin
Son:  Lynn (Paula) Torstenson of Salem, Wisconsin
Daughter:  Dorothy (Brian) Cullen of Lindenhurst, Illinois
Grandchildren:  14
Great-Grandchildren:  15
Great-Great-Grandchild:  1

    Bob, n family , so very sorry for your loss . I am saddened to hear of this sad news . I remember going to the theatre with her almost every Monday . we even snuck in a pizza once. ha ha.( don’t know how we didn’t get caught). she was always so nice to me and my children. just know she will be in your heart n mind always. my deepest sympathy GOD BLESS.
