Bonnie Jean Exum

Bonnie Jean Exum, age 63, of Necedah, Wisconsin passed away Tuesday, October 05, 2021, at her home in Necedah, WI. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Bonnie was born December 15, 1957, in Waukesha, Wisconsin to Joe and Patricia Sutter. Bonnie lived in many places, but she lived most of her life in West Bend, WI, and then later she moved to Necedah, WI. Bonnie opened up her own Adult Family Home called the Tranquility House. She did this for many years till her health slowly started to fail her. That’s when Bonnie started her bartender career. After that, she retired to spend more time building memories with her family.

Bonnie may have been a very tiny lady in size, but her heart was larger than any other. Her personality was larger than life, her smile shined brighter than the sun itself. When she walked into a room without saying a word, you could feel her there. Bonnie always found a positive in every situation and always helped anyone who was in need. And family, family was everything. She was the glue that held us all together. Bonnie had a great love and passion for music. Not a day would go by where music was not playing so loud in the house. Bonnie also loved baking, gardening, being outside, especially spending time at the beach or on the water. She also loved playing bubble blast and cribbage. Most importantly she loved hanging out with her daughters, grandkids, nieces, nephews, sisters, and brothers. We can’t forget her love for animals her best friend BJ “Buster Jr.” her dog. She also had a great love for owls.

Bonnie is survived by her four daughters: Heather Otts “Pankow” (Kurt), Shanene Schmidt (Roger), Magen Otts, and Lyndee Beiestle Otts; her eight grandkids: Sean, Sianna, Taytum, Joseph, Jayden, Broadie, Carsen, and April; her two great-grandkids: Audrie and Kyle Jr.; three sisters, eight brothers, and many, many nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, James Exum; her parents: Joe and Patricia Sutter; two sisters: Judy Marks and Chrissy Sodeman; and her grandson, Gage.

Bonnie made an impact on everyone she met and she will be greatly be missed by her family, friends, and the entire community.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Sportsman’s Bar, 231 S. Main Street, Necedah, WI 54646 on Saturday, October 23, 2021, starting at 2:00 p.m.
