Brenda Lee Thorne, age 55, of Mauston Wisconsin passed away Saturday, July 22nd 2017 at her home surrounded by family following a battle with brain cancer.

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 29th 2017 at the Bible Baptist Church, 148 Grayside Ave Mauston WI 53948. Pastor John Barker will officiate.

Brenda was born June 16, 1962 in Chicago, IL to Roy and Lavina (Slater) Williams. She graduated from Tomah High School. She married Robert Thorne on January 19, 2002. They made their home in Mauston. Brenda worked many years in retail management.

Brenda enjoyed her cats, and they kept her busy, Mexican food, candy, spending time with friends and family, watching scary movies, puzzle books, and word searches, and watching the 4th of July fireworks.

She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Mauston, Wisconsin

Son: Abel Virola of Wood Dale, Illinois
Daughter: Tabitha Johnson of Carol Stream, Illinois
Sister: Kathry Vargas of Rockford, Illinois
Brother: Jack Williams of Mauston, Wisconsin
Sister: Mary Williams of Mauston, Wisconsin

Brenda was preceded in death by her brother, Lonnie Williams; mother, Lavina Slater; and father, Roy Williams.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be sent to Shawn Williams at 5170 Aurora Ave Fitchburg WI 53711.

The family would like to thank Bible Baptist Church for holding the service and luncheon. We would also like to thank everyone that touched Brenda’s heart or allowed her to touch theirs.
