Condolences

  1. Mindy Anderson-Nicholls says:

My condolences to the whole Marti family. I never really knew your father but I got to know the youngest Marti children in school and your mom as well. May you each find comfort in your memories and the legacy left behind for you with your family farm and the Brown Swiss. I remember many a time telling Trudy that Holsteins were better and she always said Brown Swiss were the best and I’ve gotta say over the years it was always so cool to see in the local paper how often your dad and his famous brown Swiss cows were top producers! I guess I should admit I was wrong… I remember thinking as a really young kid that your family’s cows made chocolate milk Trudy and although we all know better, it’s a fond memory. May your dad RIP and may you all find comfort in his long life with you and your memories.

Bruce was a good neighbor and a hard working man. I remember one summer he was cutting a hay field near my house and ran over a wild mallard duck that was setting on a nest of eggs on the edge of the field. The duck did not survive and Bruce was real upset it happened and found that 6 eggs were unbroke. He put the eggs in his hat and brought them to me and asked if I could put them in an incubator. All 6 of those eggs hatched. Bruce was quite happy about that. The world needs more people like Bruce! My condolences to his family.
