Clarence Marvin Wade

wade photo 0001_wadeClarence Marvin Wade, age 98, of King, Wisconsin died Friday, March 13, 2015 at Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, Wisconsin.

Services will be held May 2, 2015, at North Branch Cemetery in Price, Wisconsin.  Pastor Louis Thompson will preside with a military gravesite service at 11:00 A.M.  Lunch will follow at V.F.W. Post “Cabin of the Pines”  in Osseo, WI.

Clarence was born January 25, 1917 in Price, Wisconsin to Charles and Maren T. (Solum) Wade.

He was baptized at Price Lutheran Church in Price.

Clarence was a veteran of WWII, and entered into the United States Army in June of 1942 and served until October of 1945.  He served in the European Theater of war, including England, North Africa, Italy, South France and Germany.

Clarence worked on the railroad replacing railroad ties. He also farmed, logged, and worked for the Milwaukee Kearney & Treacher Co.  Later in life, he worked as night guard for Goodwill Industries in Milwaukee. WI.

Clarence loved to play cards and checkers with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Maren T. Wade; brothers, Henry & Selmer; sisters, Inga Wade, Alice Peterson, Hilda Bratsven, and Tillie Olson; nephews, Emery Peterson, Richard Peterson, Roger (Chet) Peterson,  Jerome Olson & Charles Bratsven and nieces, Darlene (Olson) Lucht, Eleanor Grotzinger & Joann Rice.
