Donna Marie Warneke, age 67, of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin died Monday, July 27, 2020.

Donna was born on February 13th 1953 in Oak Park Illinois to Henry and Virginia (Jorden) Sammarco. Donna went to St. James grammar school and Foreman High School in Chicago Illinois. She married Lawrence Warneke on October 17th, 1986 in Chicago, IL. They moved to Lake Villa, IL in 1992 where they started their cleaning service in 1996. She retired after her diagnosis in April and moved to Wisconsin Dells. Donna enjoyed gardening, bird watching, singing, spending time with family and friends. Everyone loved her and her contagious smile. She was the life of the party and she always lit up the room.

She was proceeded in death by her father Henry Sammarco and Mother Virginia Mauro.

Donna is survived by her husband, Lawrence Warneke; her children: Eric Petersen, Lauren Tardi, and Christina Schmitt; and her grandchildren Jake, Mia, Makayla, Joey, Madison, and Dallas.

Memorials may be directed in Donna’s memory to her family. The family will be planning her a celebration of life for a later date – details to follow.

    Extending deepest condolences to the Warneke family on the loss of your dear Donna. I was very saddened to learn about her illness and had reconnected only recently with her on Facebook. I first met Donna at our grammar school, St. James. She was a beautiful lady through and through and it was clear to see how much she dearly loved her family! Rest in peace Donna. My prayers to all of you in the coming days that you will find strength navigating through the days and weeks ahead.

    I met Donna 30 years ago and there was never a day where she wasn’t kind a gracious to me each time I saw her. She shared her family with me without hesitation. We talked and laughed together and I am proud to call her my friend. Guy and I miss her very much and she will always have a place in our heart ❤️

    Donna was my best friend in grammar school. Though we lost touch, I remember our fun times at St. James fondly!! She was a great friend and it looks like she was blessed and loved with a beautiful family and grandchildren! Though so very hard, may you find comfort in your memories. My sincerest condolences.

    I loved Donna so much. There was never a time where she wasn’t singing, or just bringing laughter to everyone. She always helped me when I was in need. She never have up or turned her back on me even through my bad times. Im greatful I had the chance to have her and her family in my life. Rest easy.

    I really loved getting to know Donna for the past 10 plus years when she became family to me. She will be so missed by many. I have been spending lots of time with her granddaughter Makayla my niece talking about all the good memories and wiping tears from her little face. She has touched so many lives.
