Dorothy M. Switzky
Dorothy M. Switzky, 92 years young, died on February 1, 2021 at Unity Point Hospital in Madison, WI. She and husband John started their marriage trek with a weekend cottage on Castle Rock Lake, then moved to town of Friendship after retirement. They made many good friends in Friendship, WI for 58 of those years. She leaves behind a daughter, Marcia Corcoran, Adams, WI, a son, John (Barb) Switzky, Token Creek, WI. 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and a brother Howard Busch, Edgerton, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, John E. Switzky, her parents Fredrick and Thea Busch, 4 brothers, 5 sisters. Services will be pending ending of pandemic. If interested, her most passionate charity is the Wisconsin Council for the Blind.
She was my neighbor for a short time and a wonderful lady. Both her and John were so very nice and I was pleased to call them both my friends.

Marcia, I just found out today about your Mom’s passing. I am so very sorry. You & your family are in my thoughts & prayers. So glad I got to know Dorothy. She was a sweetheart! I got to visit with her a little bit while she was waiting for your brother’s visit with her. I always enjoyed talking with her. She will be missed! Cherish all the wonderful memories!
What a wonderful couple John and Dorothy were ! Dorothy was a sweetheart and John a true gentleman, we knew them from Quincy Lodge in Friendship and will always hold cherished memories of them both close to our hearts ! Thank you for the memories!

Our family wants to extend our condolences to you on the loss of Dorothy. My Mother, Mardell Zuercher, lives in the room right next to Dorothy at Waunakee Manor. My Mom moved there end of June when my Dad passed away. Mom was so excited to be able to be in the room next to Dorothy and said they have been friends for years. My Mom, too, has vision issues so that was something they could always relate on and they would go to a social hour together and enjoyed visiting. My Mom, of course, is heartbroken to lose her friend. She sounds like she was an amazing woman who has had a long fulfilling life. You will all be in our prayers.
