Dorothy R. Zindars
Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Rev. John K. Stake will officiate. Interment will be at the Mt. Repose Cemetery, Friendship, Wisconsin. Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. until the time of service on Sunday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.
Dorothy was born December 2, 1928 in Waukesha, Wisconsin to Charlie and Mina Merryfield. She met John Zindars at a roller rink on Silver Lake in Oconomowoc, then married him, the love of her life on June 14, 1947 in Oconomowoc. Dorothy and John raised six kids. She worked at Kmart for 22 years. Dorothy loved to sew and put puzzles together.
Survivors include her children and spouses: Richard (Pam) Zindars, Frank (Bonnie) Zindars, Dorothy “Annie” (Roy) Hammond, Mike (Pam Zaeske) Zindars, Tom (Maureen) Zindars, Ted (Lisa) Zindars and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, John Zindars, and all her siblings: Ruth LaVerrenz, Leonard (Bud) Merryfield, Alice Golemjewski, Betty McGavock, and her parents, Charlie and Mina Merryfield.
