James (Jim) J. Green, age 66, of Friendship, Wisconsin passed away Saturday, August 06, 2022 at home.

Jim was born February 12, 1956 in Madison, Wisconsin to Edward and Nancy (Delabarre) Green
He married the love of his life, Denise Loy on July 03, 1976 in Madison, Wisconsin.

Jim graduated from Madison East High School in 1974. After graduation, he enlisted in the Air National Guards where he was stationed in Colorado. Jim worked for the City of Madison Water Utilities, retiring in 2016. After retirement, Jim and Denise relocated to Friendship, WI where they have always enjoyed visiting. Jim loved playing softball where he made many lifelong friends. Jim was a fan of the Green Bay Packers, Denver Broncos, Wisconsin Badgers and the Milwaukee Brewers. He also loved to garden and took pride in his lawn and flower gardens. Jim loved spending time with his family and friends and did so whenever he could.

Wife: Denise Green of Friendship, WI
Children: Jimi (Jodi) Green, Carrie (Gregg) Cline and Michelle (David) Franklin
Grandchildren: Jasmine (Sterling), Jordan (Brett), Faith, Matthew, Jaelyn, Jocelyn, Barrett and Keegan
Great Grandchildren: Caleb and Madelyn
Brothers: David (Marcia) Green and Robert (Lis) Green
He was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 27th from noon – 3pm at the VFW on Cottage Grove Road in Madison, WI.

Jim will be greatly missed by many, especially his family.

    Jimmy was a contagious joy who never failed to make my occasional greetings as a neighbor kid feel important and recognized. I’ll always remember his big laugh and meticulous lawn, just as I remember his mother on the porch in her chair. I can’t imagine this loss for any of you, but I hope you’re able to remember Jimmy often and fondly as you grow without him.
