John Saunders
John was born on May 27, 1946 in Rockford, Illinois and was the son of Robert and Roberta Saunders. He graduated from Auburn High School in Rockford in 1964. In 1976, John moved to Necedah, Wisconsin and was employed by Croell Redi-Mix for many years.
John loved watching NASCAR races with his friends and family. On the weekends, you could find him having coffee at his sister, Sue’s and brother Dave’s, house with the rest of the family.
He is survived by his three sons, Michael (Jolene) Saunders and David Saunders of Necedah, and John Saunders of Tomah; four granddaughters, Abigail and Alissa Saunders, Lyndsey Saunders, and Morgan Tracy; three sisters, Sharon Saunders, Susan Waltemath, and Sherri Saunders, all of Necedah; and four brothers, James (Cindy) Saunders of Appleton, David Saunders, Daniel Saunders, and Dwayne Saunders of Necedah. John is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his former wife, Donna Saunders (Hawn).
John is preceded in death by his son Steven, his parents, and his brother-in-law, Nick Waltemath.
A Celebration of John’s Life will be held at the Veteran’s Memorial Hall, 501 East Third Street, Necedah, on July 16, 2016, from noon until 4:00 P.M.
