I had the honor of caring for this great man. He was always pleasant and so full of stories. I will treasure those stories forever. Spending time with him and Dody was always a highlight of my day. The puzzles, who can forget his endless hours he spent on his beloved puzzles. I so tried to find pieces that would fit, but he was the pro. Be at peace dear Lawrence, you earned it.

In our family journey to Wisconsin every Thanksgiving, I would leave believing in the stories told to be by my uncles. I was pretty naïve but stories told by my Uncle Lawrence were always the most believable. His contagious smile and wit is something I will always remember. May he rest in peace and know as war hero never be forgotten.
    Prayers to your entire family.

  30. Dawn Reichhoff says:

When I was little, my dad would come home on leave for a month at a time. My mom always let me get out of school for a week to spend time with him. Then he would have me every weekend until he had to go back. We would go visit family all over the county. If it was warm out, we would hit the road. We went camping all over the Wisconsin, just the two of us. One time, he wanted to get on the road, I wouldn’t get up. Next thing I know, I’m on the picnic table in my sleeping bag. People were outside eating breakfast. I didn’t know any of these people but still, I had to get up in my pjs and go back to the tent to get dressed. Anyone that knows my dad, he loved his sleep……and so do I. I was so mad, but learned a lesson to get up when told. It was always an adventure where ever we were and whatever we did. Laughing so hard with him was the norm All my life. His quick whit and sarcasm was passed on to me, Kyle and Cory. My love for travel and being outdoors came from him and that also was passed on the my boys too. I’m so thankful for all that. Rest easy Dad and give my babe a huge hug for me. I love you
