Richard James Mucha Sr.

Richard James Mucha Sr. age 77, passed away on January 3, 2020 at Villa Pines Living Center where he resided for many years.

Richard was born June 8, 1942 to Margaret and Gregory Mucha. In 1959 Richard graduated from Boys Technical High School. He then completed many apprenticeship programs at Master Lock and Key Company where he devoted 35 years of his life. He also taught at Waukesha County Technical Center for many years. On December 31, 1960 Richard married Betty Quandt. He was a loving, caring and compassionate father to Michelle (Michael)Gall, Rohnda (Paul) Herrmann and his son Richard James Mucha Jr (Ricky) who passed away tragically in an automobile accident on July 31, 1992. Richard was never the same after losing Ricky and his health rapidly declined.

Richard was also an amazing grandfather to Nicole Rivette, Frank Bart Jr, Richard James Mucha-Bart, Maliah Rivette, Samantha Deemer, Robert Herrmann, Jacob Herrmann, Lorenzo Herrmann, Nicole Gall, Daniel (Megan) Gall, and Paul Gall. Richard was also blessed with his beautiful great-grandchildren Ashton Bart, Atticus Mucha-Bart, Brecken Mulliken, Ariana Stone, Jacoby Stone, Gannin Gall, and Camille Deemer.

Sadly Richard lost his beloved granddaughter Nicole on October 10, 2003 also in a tragic automobile accident. Nicole was Richard’s whole life and he adored her. Everywhere Richard was Nicole was right beside him. They had such a beautiful bond.

Richard loved hunting, fishing, bowling and golfing. In his younger years, he was a Golden Glove Boxer. Later on, he enjoyed coaching his son’s soccer team. He was very active in a number of sports and activities such as snowmobiling, motorcycles and relaxing on his pontoon boat. He enjoyed playing cribbage with his neighbors and taught Michelle so they could compete against one another. He loved to take his children to the drive-in movies and he was always there to drive Michelle to the skating rink even in the middle of a blizzard.

Richard eventually ended up residing at Villa Pines Living Center for many years up until he passed. Richard loved to joke around with his CNA’s and nurses there. They too became not only his friends but his family. He was provided so much love and care and for that, the family will be forever grateful.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents Margaret and Gregory Mucha, his son Richard James Mucha Jr, his granddaughter Nicole Rivette, his sister, Louise Witz, Brother, Ronald Mucha, and brother-in-law, Ramon Witz, Sister-in-law, Mollie Weber and brother in law, Wayne Weber.

Richard is now at peace and is finally reunited with Nicole and Ricky. He will forever be missed by his loving family until they are together again.
