Ronald “Ron” Arthur Williams
Ronald “Ron” Arthur Williams, age 62, of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin died Sunday, May 10, 2020, on Mother’s Day, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30th, 2020 at the Arkdale Lions Park. Pastor Terri Skildum will officiate. Friends may call at the Arkdale Lions Park on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Military honors will be presented following the memorial service by the Adams County Honor Guard.
Ronald was born May 08, 1958, on Mother’s Day, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin to Franklin I. and Verna E. (Pedersen) Williams. Ron graduated from Adams-Friendship High School in 1976. Ron then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He traveled to San Diego, Germany, and Colorado. He was honorably discharged in 1982. In 1979, he married Cindy Marti and they had two girls, Crystal and Amber. That marriage later ended in divorce. Ron then met and married Pat Krieg and was married in 1996. They later divorced. During that marriage, Ron started his own tree business called StumpX. He loved being outdoors and helping people out. The business started out with grinding stumps and eventually grew into a full-service tree business. Ron then met his fiance’, Paula West and they remodeled and created a happy, beautiful home in Wisconsin Rapids.
Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching real Nascar (not the virtual stuff), Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, his grandsons, and being with his family. Ron was known for his carpentry skills, corny jokes and always making you laugh. He had the best times with his best friend Tim Renner, fixing things with his brothers and getting into mischief with his cousins. He was a great woodworker. Over the years he made countless little step stools for many children, that I am sure that they will cherish. He loved making bird feeders, and just little mind things out of wood to get you thinking. Ron loved to go deer hunting, and especially the past few years with his grandsons, Mayson & Myles and son in law, Larry. Ron also looking forward to his yearly fishing trip with Tim, Cindy, Mayson, Myles, and Paula up north. Fishing may not have always been the best, but lots of memories were made. Ron also loved going to Milwaukee Brewer games with Paula, Sierra, Lexi, Steve, Paul, and Dede. Ron enjoyed having “the kids” over for dinner every week.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Verna Williams, his older brother, Randy Williams, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins too.

We knew Ron the last couple of years as we were fortunate have tons of trees!! He was real nice guy to deal with, a great businessman, and easy to talk to. We will miss him.
Dan/Sandy and family and friends was shocked to hear of Ron’s passing . just saw him and his son recently and he was his normal self kidding with a friend who drove up anxious to work. Dan I treasured the relationship Dan and I had with you and your brother you were not just friends but family as your parents were also. I will always remember arriving early at Mom’s house on a cold winter morning & seeing Ron in the driveway. The furnace had quit, and he had immediately stepped in to help. Such kindness was a hallmark of his wonderful personality. We will miss our dear cousin greatly. Our deepest sympathies to his family & friends.

Ron was my favorite boss ever in my 40 yrs he’s the only boss I never ever had a complaint about he taught me alot and was always there for me so sorry to hear he passed his kindness will be missed dearly

So Sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. Great memories from Arkdale as a young teenager growing up… riding in Ronnie’s Fairlane, telling jokes, The Old Mill… those were the days! Always wanting to be older like Ronnie and Tim Renner… fast cars, spinning the tires, raising hell. Deer Hunting with the Williams and Marti gang. Ron was always quick with a smile and fun to be around. Although it’s been many years since seeing him, he will never be forgotten. His service as a United States Marine is highly commendable. Oh, the memories of Ron, my sister & I babysat for the “5W’s”. And Ron, was the instigator, in doing stuff. That, followed Ron into adulthood, Larry & I came home, had very strange items along with a “FOR SALE” signs, in our front yard. To all of Ron’s family, we are so sad for your loss. My sincere condolences to Paula and Ron’s family. I’ve never had the privilege to meet Ron but my grandson did and they became instant friends. Brian called him “my friend Ron!”. That’s a big honor. They connected over a fishing pole and Uncle Tim. He will be deeply missed.
